Lyveden New Bield is an extraordinary unfinished landscape garden of the late sixteenth century, which has been in the care of the National Trust since the 1920s.
The Trust has recently taken on the ‘Old Bield’ Manor which formerly connected with this well known garden.
We worked initially with the Trust in progressing masterplanning options for the re-orientation and re-presentation of the site, including new visitor facilities and alterations to the Grade I listed manor.
Our work then progressed in 2019 to detailed design works for the Manor House site, where building works were completed in 2021. More is said of this in the ‘Public’ projects section.
