We have recently completed major alterations and refurbishment to two family houses in a West London conservation area.
The project has involved an ambitious attic conversion, a roof terrace and new garden, and detailed interior design throughout. The top floor rooms have been quietly detailed and give this part of the building a studio atmosphere. The lower floors have a more traditional character, with new bespoke joinery and plasterwork responding to the nineteenth century interiors of the house.
Where privacy is not critical between rooms, new internal windows and clerestory glazing have brought garden views and daylight into the heart of the house which was previously dark and in places depressing. We have increased energy efficiency considerably in both houses.
